The main winch of cable yarding Sky-Log

A sound signal helps the operator to know the ideal tension for pulling the carriage. A hydraulic lock is used to block the winch’s drum. The winch’s drum has a separator which keeps the cable from breaking. A cable guide is used to place the cable into the drum.  The winch is easily disassembled on the excavator for easy transportation.

The winch winds 450 meters cable 22mm in size. The breaking capacity of 45 tons cable maintains a safety factor.  There is a 3/8’’ cable in the winch installed on top of the excavator. 1 200 feet long cable helps to pull the main cable upwards.  This operation reduces the time of installation.
